Combined Entrance & Landscape Barrier
Shared Entrance
As part of our development plan for Stroudwater Commons, we are collaborating with the neighboring Children's Dyslexia Center of Portland to create a combined entrance. This thoughtful approach ensures that there will be no additional traffic implications, as we are committed to being mindful of the busy traffic conditions on this part of Congress Street.
Landscaped Border
Another defining feature of this development is the addition of a landscaped border between it & the surrounding neighborhood. Creating a lush, green barrier features a variety of native plants and trees, carefully selected to provide year-round visual interest and privacy.
Garrision Street Cross Walk
One of the key community features of Stroudwater Commons is the installation of a highly visible crosswalk near Garrison Street. This essential addition ensures the safety of not only the residents of our development but also the surrounding neighborhood. The crosswalk will provide direct access to the Stroudwater trail network, encouraging outdoor activities and fostering a sense of community. Additionally, it connects residents to the nearby bus stop on the adjacent side of Congress Street, facilitating easy access to public transportation. The design of the crosswalk, as depicted in the attached image, includes clear pedestrian signage, well-marked lanes, and enhanced lighting for visibility. This thoughtful infrastructure improvement underscores our commitment to creating a safe, accessible, and connected community for all.
